I am a Mormon until I die. But, there are a lot of things I don’t believe in what the Church is doing. The main contention I have with the Church is about gays. Where did the church get all of the money to try to stop gay marriages in California? What gives the church the right to try to shove their so called beliefs down everyone’s throat? Who set the church up as judge and jury? I thought that was GOD’S job. What happened to the separation of church and state? Yet the church spent millions of dollars in politics. I”m sure there was a lot of better needs to spend the money on. Why is the church going against CHRIST’S teachings? This is where I feel the church has gone wrong.
#1. There was a war in Heaven over free will. GOD want’s ALL OF US to have free will. Not just the so called majority. The church is here to guide us, instruct us, but NOT to force us in all of their teachings. GOD does not want us to be robots! HE wants us to ask questions, to seek the truth. Yet to do this openly, you risk being kicked out of the church.
#2. The church taught me to offer our faith to others. If they reject us, then turn away and go elsewhere. Yet the church spends millions of dollars to push their beliefs on everybody! And by doing this the church is NOT FOLLOWING their own teachings!
#3. JESUS told us to love everybody. HE did NOT tell us to love this person and not to love that person. TO LOVE EVERYBODY! Who is the church to tell us who we can love and who we can not love? I would like to know what the church’s position is on gays. I hope someone will enlighten me. I’m confused.
